A pair of rare original photographs, circa 1910, Nicholas II and empress Alexandra Feodorovna visiting the church in Borki, built on the site of the wreck of the czar's train at the railway station of Borki near Kharkov in 1888. The Imperial couple, followed by members of the Suite, is about to enter the church. Cars of Imperial train are visible in the upper part of the photographs. Photographs - 8 x 6 1/4 in. (15,9 x 21 cm). Photo mats - 18 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. The photographs are in excellent condition. The photo mats are with some minor stains and scatches. Each in a massive wooden frame.
Similar photographs with a view of the Borki church and the railway station as well as a photograph of Nicholas II and Alexandra taken at the entrance of the church during the same visit are published in the photo album "The Last Tsar" by Larissa Yermilova.
