Russian Gilded Bronze Inkstand circa 1810

Gilded bronze desk top inkstand, St. Petersburg, circa 1810, used to hold inks, sand and writing instruments. The inkstand is decorated with a cupid playing a lyre. Width 7 1/4 in. (18,3 cm).
