Struck under the foot with 84 silver standard/Moscow assay mark, OVCHINNIKOV with Imperial warrant (double headed eagle) and initials 'AO'.

The OVCHINNIKOV mark is struck twice with a slight displacement, therefore the name is only partially legible.

The 'AO' mark is struck over the double headed eagle.

The initials 'AO' are for Alexander Pavlovich Ovchinnikov, son of Pavel Ovchinnikov, founder of the firm. Alexander Ovchinnikov became  the head of the Moscow branch (factory and shop) after the death of his father.

Cyrillic 'I' in the middle of the name and 'KOV' at the end are clear.

The rim of the foot is struck with St. George (Moscow assay mark) and initials 'AO'.

Very minor restoration to the blue enamel on the neck of the handle. The restoration is hardly noticeable. The rest of the enamel is in perfect condition.

Fine quality shaded cloisonne enamel.
