An antique Russian porcelain dinner plate of unknown origin. Apparently from an earlier unpublished service. The border is decorated with a transfer printed cipher of Czarevich Alexei (the son of Nicholas II) in Old Slavonic style. Almost certainly by the Imperial porcelain factory (no factory marks), circa 1914.

Diameter 9 15/16 in. (25,3 cm)


Condition: moderate overall wear, some paint loss on rim.
