Translucent sky blue enamel over a wavy sun ray ground.
Lemon gold border chased with laurel leaves.
Marked with 56 zolotniks standard (14K - 583 gold) and workmasters initials HW (first letter worn out).
Although the first letter (H) is worn out, the mark could be attributed to Henrik Wigstrom. The slightly asymmetrical shape of the remaining letter (W) is identical to 'W' on other known jewelry pieces by Henrik Wigstrom from the same period of 1908-1917. The left part of the letter 'W' is thicker than the right part.
The following are objects by Henrik Wigstrom with similer HW marks.
The edge of the lower right corner of the rectangular stamp is cut off.
Apparently, the letter 'H' of the workmaster's stamp 'HW' was in lower relief and therefore more vulnerable to wear since it is significantly more worn on all of the above shown objects.
Similarity of design is obvious.
The above bold mark with an asymmetrical 'W' is from a gold and enamel Faberge lorgnette by Henrik Wigstrom.
