Neo-Russian style silver bowl shaped as a resting bogatyr (heroic ancient warrior in the Russian folk-epic) by Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow, 1908-1917, with flowing beard, wearing traditional spiked helmet and shirt of mail, armed with a massive mace (bulawa) and a shield. Height 2 3/4 in. (7 cm). Length 4 3/4 in. (12 cm). Weight 10,3 oz. (291 g).
