Silver pill box, St. Petersburg, circa 1888. The lid is mounted with an Easter cake and a red guilloche enamel egg. Engraved presentation inscription on rim is dated 1888. The silver cake is set with cabachon garnets, engraved with Orthodox cross, 'XB' (for "Christ is Risen") and two floral rossets. Diameter 1 1/2 in. (3,7 cm). Height 1 1/4 in. (3,2 cm). Condition: minor restoration to enamel.
