SUPERB shaded cloisonne enamel tea glass holder by Feodor Ruckert for Ovchinnikov, made in Moscow between 1899 and 1908, enameled with stylized birds and floral designs in 17th century style on pale green ground. Height 3 3/4 in. (9,7 cm). Weight 193 g (6,8 oz.)

Tea glass holders by Ruckert are extremely rare.

Marked under the base with 84 standard (.875 silver) and P.OVCHINNIKOV beneath Imperial warrant (overstruck FR initials).

            

Struck on the foot rim with workmaster's initials Cyrillic 'FR' for Feodor Ruckert and assay mark with initials of Ivan Lebedkin.

'FR' initials and assay mark are also struck on the handle.
