A SUPERB Russian antique FABERGE gem-set rock crystal and royal purple guilloche enamel parasol handle, workmaster Albert Holmstrom, made in St. Petersburg between 1908 and 1917.
Length 2 3/8 in. (6,2 cm).
Items as this handle were made exclusively for aristocracy and were priced accordingly.
The rock crystal knob is engraved with six Art Nouveau style flowers. Each flower is set with a citrine in gold bezel.
The enamel collar is applied with gold ribbon tied laurel garlands.
Inventory number 5545 in Indian ink on the lower rim of the rock crystal knob inside the enamel collar. The number is visible under a certain angle.
Marked under enamel with 88 zolotniks (916 silver) standard (1908-1917 assay mark), and master's initials (A.H.)
