Porcelain plate of the Grand Duke Michael Nikolaevich (1832-1909), the youngest son of czar Nicholas I. The plate was made at the Kornilov Brothers Factory in St Petersburg , circa 1900.  Diameter 24 cm (9 1/2 in). The Grand Duke was an Inspector-General of the Russian artillery. The plate is decorated with a gilded monogram of the Grand Duke and the Star of St. Andrew Order laid on crossed cannons. Minor restoration (2 tiny rim chips were repaired).
