Faberge Silver Teapot

Faberge silver teapot, elaborately decorated in Neo-Rococo style, St. Petersburg, circa 1890, the lower body chased with scrolls, rocaille, and foliage, against water waves, decoration of the upper rim resembles icicles, the lid with molded finial chased to imitate waves. Marked under base and on lid with 'FABERGE' in Cyrillic, 88 standard (.916 silver), St.Petersburg assay mark and workmaster's initials 'I.P.' for Julius Rappoport. Height 6 1/4 in. (16 cm). Weight 27,5 oz. (780 g).
