VERY RARE Imperial Presentation Gem-Set Gold Ring with Its Original Red Leather Case.
An openwork gold ring decorated with Russian Imperial crown, made in St. Petersburg between 1899 and 1904. The crown is set with two cabochon sapphires and ten rose-cut diamonds. Height 9/16 in. (14,5 mm). Diameter 11/16 in. (17 mm). Approximate ring size 6 1/2 (US).

56 zolotniks standard (14K - 583 gold) with assayer's initials Cyrillic 'Ya L' for Yakov Liapunov, the head assay master of St. Petersburg district between 1899 and 1904.
