Antique Russian topographical porcelain plate with a view of the Peterhof palace and the Grand cascade fountains, 

made at the Imperial Porcelain Factory (St. Petersburg) around 1844 and intended for the Grand Duchess Olga dowry.

Diameter 9 1/4 in. (23 cm)

No restoration. Excellent condition.

Provenance:  Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna (1827-1892), daughter of Czar Nicholas I.


VERY FINE AND RARE Russian Imperial porcelain topographical plate with a view of the Peterhof palace

Beautiful pink-ground  border with gilt-tooled laurel wreath and elaborately molded sea shells.

Russian inscription reads:  A View of the Peterhof Palace.


Blue factory mark in the form of Nicholas I cipher. Painter's  initial 'O'.
