Porcelain platter from the Rainbow service. Imperial Porcelain Factory, period of Nicholas I (blue under glaze mark). The service was commissioned by the Grand Duke Michael Pavlovich (son of Paul I) in 1835 (Ref: "Russian Imperial Porcelain at Hillwood" by Ann Odom, 1999). Diameter 12 1/2 in. (31,5 cm). No chips, cracks or restoration. Overall very fine condition with just some minor rubbing to glaze.
