Eugene Titov
born 1969, graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1999. Superbly decorative, these gilt ground paintings from the "Egyptian Dreams", masterfully integrate the artist's knowledge of Russian medieval and Byzantine arts, including the techniques of cloisonne enamel and filigree. Harmonious, a visually rich mixture of Panslavic style and Byzantine traditions in a lively contemporary form.
