Icon of Christ Pantocrator painted on a wooden panel and encased in a partially gilded silver oklad (riza) with a superb shaded cloisonne enamel halo. Made in Moscow between 1899 and 1908 by Alexander Sparishkin.

The icon comes with a rare fitted wood case of the period.

The field and border are engraved with scrolling foliage.
Enamel of the halo is in exceptional condition. No restoration.
The enameled halo is struck with assayer's stamp of Ivan Lebedkin.
The oklad marked twice with 84 silver standard (875/1000) and master's initials 'AC'.
