Massive gilded silver and shaded cloisonne enamel lobed kovsh by Vasily Agafonov, made in Moscow between 1899 and 1908.

The lobed body is enameled with stylized flowers on apple green, redish brown and dark green grounds.

     

   

The upper body and the handle are enameled with large stylized flower heads against brilliant turquoise ground.

         

   

Marked with 84 standard (.875 silver) with assayer's initials of Ivan Lebedkin and master's initials 'BA' for Vasily Agafonov.
